Results 2008
2009 - The Grand Nationals at Royal Durban 19th - 24th April
Overall winners of the tournament - Only one

Mike Hargreaves won the A Division of the Players Tournament on 108

Friday 24th April :- A fantastic whole day here in Durban. A good day to score well and redeem ourselves. Colin Buck won R2500 in the Vans Hareem. We slumped to 12th out of 14 with an average of 28,90 as opposed to the winners on 30,11. Our scoreboard looks like this - Day6.Pdf

Thursday 23rd April :- Fantastic morning, no clouds, no wind, great day for golf. Unfortunately the weather did not inspire the pink golfers. Good 34 from Stefan Muller was the highlight of the day. Our average has now slumped to 28,86, and we are lying in 9th position. Our scoreboard looks like this - Day5.Pdf
7th Position on Wednesday.
Wednesday 22nd April :- The skies are clear of rain, but the wind has changed to a north-wester, and is getting stronger by the hour. Our scores have improved, but I did not make prizegiving tonight, but will get the results tomorrow. A great round by Ken Haldane. Our average is now 29,5. Our scoreboard looks like this - Day4.Pdf

Tuesday 21st April :- Raining early in the morning, cleared, and then the afternoon field had the brunt of the bad weather. Stefan Muller won a Golf Bag in the Super8 and we slumped to 9th in the Bert Hunt. The computer calculated 28,25 for us, but my calculations do not concur. Our scoreboard looks like this - Day3.Pdf

Monday 20th April :- Cool overcast day, getting miserable by the hour. Scores ok in the morning but deteriorated as the day went on. Steve Twycross came 3rd in the B Division, and in the Bert Hunt we slipped to 7th. Our scoreboard looks like this - Day2.Pdf

Sunday 19th April :- Good day, but quite windy from 10am to 3pm. Michael Self was in the prizes for best playing fourball. Our scoreboard looks like this, and we are 5th in the Bert Hunt standings - Day1.Pdf

Saturday 18th April :- Most of our players have arrived and attended the Flag Raising at Royal Durban. It was a pleasant enough affair, and spirits seemed quite high. The course looks in great condition, and awaits us at 06h30 tomorrow morning. Hold thumbs tight for the "Pinkies".
